Craft Roman Helmets & Chainmaille

Students will build Roman-style helmets out of cardboard and try their hand at weaving chainmaille using 3D-printed rings. This class combines crafting with tactile, hands-on challenges. Taught by Jacob and Drew, a couple of enthusiastic educators.

Build a Glider

In this class, kids will build and customize lightweight foam gliders and test how they fly. They’ll learn through play as they tweak designs and see what works best. With Jacob and Drew’s guidance, it’s all about fun, creativity, and experimentation.

Printing Press Name Art

Students will create custom “printing press” stamps using paper, cardboard, and upcycled materials to spell out their names. They’ll experiment with texture and repetition to make unique prints to take home. Jacob and Drew make this a fun and accessible introduction to art and design.

In this class, kids will craft their own Viking-style axes and helmets from cardboard, perfect for imaginative play. They’ll explore shapes, textures, and design while bringing their creations to life. Jacob and Drew guide the process with encouragement and creativity.

Collage Art Workshop

Ages 5-9. In this one-hour drop-off workshop, your artist will use cut and torn paper to create mosaic-inspired collages of their favorite animals. We will be using reclaimed materials and also will be discussing the recycling process.

Class will be lead by Drew and Jacob, an amazing pair of young educators.

Make Your Own Roman Chainmaille

In this class your child will learn about the history of Roman chainmaille armor and how to craft it using 3D-printed replica rings to create a chainmaille fidget toy. This class is a perfect compliment to the Making Your Own Shield classes on Wed/Thurs. Use code "knight" to get 20% off the chainmaille class when also signed up for the shield class.

Note: this does take more fine-motor skills and might be difficult for children under 9.

Class will be lead by Drew and Jacob, an amazing pair of young educators. Jacob brings a deep knowledge of medieval history, while Drew adds an artistic perspective.

In these two classes, students will learn about the history and purpose of medieval heraldry while designing and creating their own knight's shield. Students will be taught the actual methods used in the Middle Ages to create shield and how they were used by soldiers. Recommended ages 8+

Collage Crafternoon

Turn paper scraps and recycled materials into amazing animal collages! We’ll tear, layer, glue, and experiment to make artwork full of color and texture. It will be a relaxed and fun afternoon of crafting where every kid’s imagination gets to shine!

Ages 5 and up. Free event open to the public.
